Pack to Basics ™ is a unique way to socialize your canine friend. This FREE program uses a dog’s natural instincts of communication and pack mentality to help your dog remember the proper way to communicate and interact with other dogs. Many dogs are nervous, aggressive, overly playful, or pushy when it comes to being around other dogs. By using Pack to Basics ™ your dog will realize that it can relax and communicate around other dogs the way nature intended.

Developer Chad Mackin made Pack to Basics ™ by modifying the large field socialization approach that was first brought to America by Dick Russell.  This revolutionary program can be used regardless of size or space limitations you may have.  Chad has worked with countless trainers, including Wasatch Canine Camp, to help them bring this program into their own training programs, bringing the true understanding of canine socialization to greater levels.  To find out more about Pack to Basics ™ click here.

Wasatch Canine Camp offers Pack to Basics ™ classes every Saturday at 4:00 (for puppies and small dogs) and 3:00 (for large dogs), regardless of weather.  The classes are held in Cedar Hills and is held off leash.  Each class is about 20-30 minutes long and usually has 15-25 dogs per class.  Happy-go-lucky dogs are always welcome, and owners with questionable dogs should contact Wasatch Canine Camp for a free evaluation of their dog.  Each participant of the class must fill out a liability waiver stating that Wasatch Canine Camp is not responsible for any damage that may happen to you or your dog.  Accidents rarely happen, and aggressive dogs are muzzled for their first few weeks, but they can happen.  Wasatch Canine Camp takes every precaution necessary to make sure fights and accidents don’t happen.
